We’re delighted to be joined by Rachel Wilson on fiddle! Her first few gigs with us have been electrifying. Our next with Rachel will be at The Galtres Festival.

We’re delighted to be gigging over the next few weeks with three great fiddle players:
Antonio Curiale!! With us at The Ackhorne, York, Friday 11 July
Maggy Lamb!! With us At The Railway Tavern, Norton, Saturday 9 August
Rachel Wilson!! With us at The Rook and Gaskill, York, Saturday 19 July
The Leather’o Trio did a couple of gigs in Hampshire this weekend, including a fantastic wedding gig for our good friends Susie and Jon. There was much semi-organised dancing and I looked up just after one of our sudden tempo changes to see a vast circle of guests wheeling round, all pretending to be gigantic seabirds. Excellent!
After a big pub breakfast and 250 miles further north, we headlined Sunday night at the Black Swan Folk Festival and had a great, boisterous time of it! Hope some of you guys were there!
We’ve got a short notice gig tonight as a quartet (you’ll have to come along to find out which one of us had a prior engagement) at the Beer Festival at The Rook and Gaskill in York. It’s a great pub and perfect weather – hope to see a few of our regular fans there!
Well, that was a good night out at The Woolpack… With Rich Hardcastle and Bored Housewife.
Here’s the official handbill for the York Folk Weekend – we’re the closing act on Sunday night!
Leather’o gigs now appear on the York Music Guide and YorkGig along with many other great bands, venues and gigs! However, the best source of gig news is always the side bar of this very page –>
New photos of the band (more to follow!):
Stop Press: The photos are back from the shoot last week and they look great!
This weekend we’ve got our first-ever photo shoot, down at Steve’s Studio. We’ll be meeting beforehand at the legendary Bison Coffee House, so expect us to look spectacularly sober.
Who would have thought we would get such a great crowd on a Wednesday night in January? The bar was completely full – well done, To The Blue! And a surprising number of people were dancing!
Many thanks to Gavin at The Bison Coffee House for including Leather’o in his twelve York’s Finest tracks in the excellent publication One & Other!
Leather’o endorses The Bison Coffee House as the thinking man’s choice – probably the best coffee in York. We will be there within minutes of posting this.
